Late-Summer Birding and Habitat Ecology

September 17 @ 7:00 am - 10:00 am

Join Matt Tarr (UNH Cooperative Extension Wildlife Habitat Specialist) for a slow walk through the fields and young forest habitats at SELT’s Burley Farm to identify all the birds we see and hear.

Along the way, we will also identify the most common native and invasive plant species and discuss how each plant functions as habitat for birds and other wildlife during late-summer through the winter. During this walk you will likely learn about many things you can do on your own land to attract and support a variety of wildlife. Bring your binoculars!
