This week, we ran an “air leakage test” on the John Prescott Chase Farmhouse (fresh off its historic rehabilitation). This test simulates gusting winds and measures air changes per hour (ACH or ACPH), a measurement of how many times a volume of air within a room will be replaced with supply and/or recirculated air.
The test pinpoints the points of air leakage around the building, which can be addressed to protect air quality and enhance energy efficiency.
