An important property in Hampton featuring nearly 34 acres of high-value forest and wetlands is now conserved forever! SELT assisted with the process, working with the Town of Hampton, the Hampton Conservation Commission, along with multiple conservation partners to bring this exciting project over the finish line.
The land lies within the 2021 Land Conservation Plan For New Hampshire’s Coastal Watersheds. It is rich with critical wildlife habitat and features excellent connectivity to other conserved and public lands.
We are especially grateful to Keith Lessard for his generous donation of this land to Hampton. He chose to conserve it in honor of his parents and it is now named the Robert “Vic” Lessard and Olive F. Lessard Wildlife Preserve.
