A Bog’s Life with Naturalist Tom Eid

Join us for an illuminating and engaging evening with author and speaker Tom Eid.

Tom will discuss his book “A Bog’s Life: 37 Bogs to Discover and Explore Throughout New England” along with a presentation on bogs including an overview of New England’s wetland ecosystems and habitats; bog, fen, and swamp formation and characteristics; unique floral communities of bogs and fens; rare ground plants, orchids, shrubs, and trees found in bogs; and where and how bogs, fens, and peatlands develop.  He will also discuss some of the 37 examples of bogs and fens features in his book.
