Conserved Forever – Griewank-Wakefield Property in Rochester

On February 28, SELT completed the conservation of the On Friday, SELT completed the conservation of the Griewank-Wakefield property in Rochester (also known as Shagbark Farm).

At 73 acres, this is a tremendously resource-rich land, featuring fields, forests, and wetlands. The property has approximately 1,000 feet of frontage on the Salmon Falls River, which is an important wildlife corridor and drinking water supply for Somersworth and Berwick, ME.

We are grateful to the NH Department of Environmental Services Drinking Water and Groundwater Trust Fund and the City of Rochester NH for their generous contributions towards the completion of the project. property in Rochester (also known as Shagbark Farm).
