What to Expect:
- Wild Play Adventures: Dive into the wonders of outdoor play, fostering creativity, resilience, and teamwork. From building forts to nature-inspired games, campers can expect a safe space to explore their natural surroundings with the comfort of their peers as well as trained and supportive adults.
- Exploration of Local Wild Spaces: In addition to exploring Burley Farms, our campers will go on 2-3 off site field trips for experiences such as paddling the Lamprey River, visiting the Atlantic Ocean, and swimming at UNH.
- Social and Emotional Wellness: Guided by experienced outdoor educators and counselors, our camp focuses on building essential social and emotional skills like assertive communication, empathetic listening, and mindfulness tools to support their mental wellness. Utilizing expressive outlets, like painting and writing as well as more active ones like yoga and cooperative games, campers will be encouraged to reflect on their own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, while also being part of a community.
- Experienced Educators: Campers can expect a small youth-to-adult ratio, with our licensed educators and counselors, UNH interns, and high students (as counselors-in-training) to ensure an engaging and supportive experience.
