It was one of those phone calls that warms your soul. One day, Sue and Dean Killam reached out to SELT about donating a conservation easement on their land in Atkinson.
This wonderful land has been documented in a recent wildlife connectivity study to be within a regionally significant wildlife corridor with its extensive frontage along Hog Hill Brook. This fact is not lost on the Killams who have over the years observed a variety of wildlife on and passing through their property including bobcat, mink, otter, fisher, coyote, deer and more.
Today, SELT and the Killams closed on this remarkable bit of generosity and their property is now conserved!
Thank you to the the Town of Atkinson Conservation Commission and NH Moose Plate, who provided financial support towards project costs. And, of course, thank you to Sue and Dean, for making that phone call and leaving a legacy that will last for all time.
