Leighton Forest Snowshoe – WAITING LIST ONLY

Join Land Conservation Director, Duane Hyde, for snowshoe around the beautiful Leighton Forest, a current SELT conservation project that is a hidden gem tucked less than a mile northwest from the Stonehouse Forest right on the town line of Barrington and Strafford. Enjoy the wintery landscape of this incredibly well-managed forest which houses some unusual forest types, and diverse wetlands. Learn about how the stewardship work of Roger and Justine Leighton created such a special place. This snowshoe (or hike, depending on snowfall) will be 1.5-2.5 miles and will involve some off-trail walking through the woods over moderate terrain.
