SUMMARY:SELT Book Club – The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy
DESCRIPTION:Tremendously powerful and lushly romantic\, The God Of Small Things effectively shifts between two time periods: Rahel’s present-day trip home to see her mute\, haunted twin brother\, Estha\, and a December day 20 years before — the tumultuous day that tears the family apart. With mesmerizing language and lyrical descriptions of place that draw the reader into the pages\, Kerala\, India becomes its own character in this Booker Prize winning novel. \nWe are still partnering with our friends at Water Street Bookstore in Exeter\, who will donate 20% of the proceeds from The God of Small Things to SELT – to order: \n\nGive them call at (603) 778-9731\, they can take your credit card over the phone and organize stoop pickup. They are also offering limited home delivery in the immediate Exeter area.\nYou can order through their website (waterstreetbooks.com) and get free shipping!\n\nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER FOR ZOOM INFO
