DESCRIPTION:Get your snowshoes and bundle up\, SELT’s Trails and Community Engagement Manager\, Yohann Hanley\, will be leading a walk under the light of the full moon at Birch Ridge Community Forest in New Durham\, NH. Yohann will guide you from the Birch Hill Road parking area. Specific directions and route details will be provided in advance of the event. We hope to take full advantage of the winter snow\, but if there is not enough to snowshoe in\, this event will be a winter night hike instead. \n\nRegistration Required: CLICK HERE\nDifficulty: Strenuous with some steep sections and geared towards older children-adults with some snowshoeing or winter hiking experience.

SUMMARY:A SELT Walk (Cross Country Ski) in the Woods
DESCRIPTION:Join experienced SELT hike leader Bill McClure for a monthly series of walks (or cross-country ski\, or snowshoe excursions) throughout 2026. \nConditions permitting\, in January\, we will cross country ski on trails in Stonehouse forest. This  event is geared for experienced cross-country skiers and will navigate various terrain including hills\, primarily in the less visited\, eastern portion of Stonehouse forest. \nThe route will be determined in advance and shared with participants roughly three days prior to the event. If the conditions are not ideal for a cross-country ski\, this event will still proceed as a winter hike. \n\nRegistration Required: CLICK HERE\nThis event is limited to 12 participants.\nDifficulty – 🥾 🥾 (out of 3)
